Family and my faith are the center of my world. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and have been all my life. Together with my amazing wife, we've navigated life's ups and downs, raising three wonderful children. Quality time with them, whether it's bonding over board games or enjoying simple moments together, brings me immense joy.
I also had the privilege of serving a mission for the church in Indiana for 2 years, from 2002 to 2004. Though it was a challenging time for me, it proved to be an incredibly rewarding and growth-oriented experience. Many times, I found myself stepping outside of my comfort zone, but through those experiences, I learned to love the wonderful people of Indiana deeply. I developed a profound appreciation for the state and its unique culture, fostering a lasting love for Indiana. One day, I hope to return, though at this point in my life, I have not been able to do so.
I have a diverse range of hobbies that keep me engaged and entertained. I enjoy walking for both pleasure and exercise, finding solace in the rhythm of my steps and the beauty of my surroundings. Hiking and immersing myself in nature's tranquility are also favorite pastimes of mine. When I'm winding down, I love indulging in TV shows and movies, with a particular fondness for science fiction that fuels my imagination. As a dedicated Trekkie, I’m especially passionate about exploring the vast universe of Star Trek and its many adventures. Music is another passion, with a penchant for country tunes and an unabashed admiration for Taylor Swift's artistry. While I don't have a dedicated camera, I do enjoy capturing moments with my iPhone, finding beauty in the simplicity of everyday life. Playing board games, indulging in computer games, and enjoying the occasional session on the Nintendo Switch round out my list of hobbies.
Living with type one diabetes for over 20 years has been a transformative journey. After 15 years, I began using a pump and continuous glucose monitor (CGM), which have significantly improved my management of the condition. Diabetes has changed my life, but I choose to view it in a positive light. It has taught me invaluable lessons about nutrition, self-care, and resilience, shaping me into the person I am today.

Prior to that, I earned an AAS in Graphic Design from Provo College in 2009, where I studied graphic design and participated in various graphic design classes. Additionally, I completed general courses at Utah Valley University from 2004 to 2007, further enriching my educational background.
