Kids Town Pediatric Dentistry
This project was a standout experience for me in pediatric web development. Usually, these sites are a pain because the clients want so many “fun” aspects that add a lot of complexity, but I actually really enjoyed building this one. Working from the design team’s Figma mockups, I focused on a pixel-perfect implementation to make sure the site matched their “themed office” brand exactly.
Key Technical Features
- Pixel-Perfect Build: Translated high-fidelity Figma designs into a fully functional WordPress site, ensuring every color choice and layout detail from the designers was accurately represented.
- Custom Scroll Animations: Built a fun, scroll-triggered animation where a bus/van moves across the screen as you navigate the page.
- Interactive “Silly Face” Flips: Developed a custom flip animation for the dentist profiles that transitions their professional headshots into silly faces on hover—a fun detail that fits the pediatric theme perfectly.
- Multi-Location Integration: Managed the setup for three different locations (Layton, Syracuse, and Roy) with unified booking and location-specific contact info.
Development Impact
- Brand Accuracy: By following the mockups exactly, I ensured the digital experience felt just like walking into one of their themed physical offices.
- User Engagement: The custom animations like the moving bus and the profile flips make the site more interactive and “sticky” for parents and kids.
- Mobile-Friendly Booking: Optimized the UI so parents can easily book appointments or make payments on the go across any of the three locations.
