This contract project through GroFire involved setting up, configuring, and launching a brand-new WordPress site. I handled the initial development environment setup, established core design tokens, performed pre-launch responsive QA, and successfully executed the final site migration and deployment.
Key Technical Features
- Staging & Environment Setup: Cloned a base build to establish a staging environment, installed WordPress, and configured DNS settings to route the live domain to a coming-soon landing page.
- Brand & Style Initialization: Applied primary design assets across the site, configuring global fonts, brand color palettes, site logos, and custom favicon assets.
- Responsive QA & UX Polish: Conducted a comprehensive sitewide audit prior to launch, fine-tuning spacing, padding, font scaling, and layout behavior across device breakpoints.
- Database & Deployment Execution: Migrated site files to the live root directory and ran database URL replacements to ensure a seamless launch.
